SentinelOne, a company specializing in AI-powered security, revealed its agreement to acquire cloud security firm PingSafe. The deal is expected to be finalized in the first quarter of SentinelOne’s fiscal year 2025, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
PingSafe is a cloud native application protection platform (CNAPP) solution that delivers dynamic, real-time monitoring of multi-cloud workloads. The integration of PingSafe’s CNAPP with SentinelOne’s existing cloud workload and data security technology is expected to offer businesses improved coverage, hygiene, and automation for their cloud operations, say the companies.
The acquisition will also add advanced features to SentinelOne’s offerings, including secrets scanning and an attack surface management rules engine, alongside core CNAPP functionalities like cloud security posture management and agentless vulnerability scanning.
