Scott T. Ford Joins AT&T Board

AT&T  has appointed Scott T. Ford to its board of directors. Mr. Ford is a partner with Westrock Capital Partners, and Westrock Coffee Holdings, and is a former chief executive officer of Alltel. He will serve on AT&T’s Corporate Development and Finance Committee, and Public Policy and Corporate Reputation Committee.

Mr. Ford previously served as president and chief executive officer of Alltel. He joined Alltel as an executive vice president and member of the Board of Directors in 1996 and held a number of leadership positions before becoming CEO in 2002. Mr. Ford led the company through several major business transformations, culminating with the sale of Alltel to Verizon Wireless in 2009.

Mr. Ford also serves on the board of First Federal Bancshares of Arkansas. He previously served as the chairman of the Little Rock Branch of the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank and as chairman of the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association. Mr. Ford holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
