Scanadu Secures $10.5 Million Series A Funding

Scanadu, a personalized health electronics company working on a medical tricorder, has received $10.5 million in Series A funding. Relay Ventures led the round, and other participants included Tony Hsieh’s VegasTechFund, and Jerry Yang’s Ame Cloud Ventures, along with Broe Group, Mindful Investors and Redmile Group.

The funding will be used to support Scanadu’s go-to market strategy and manufacturing, as well as support the FDA approval process, says the company.

Scanadu has formed a medical advisory board, and will conduct its first clinical trials at the Scripps Translational Science Institute. Scanadu has raised $14.7 million in funding to date.
