Samsung Opens Global Marketing Center Of Excellence In US

Samsung is opening a Global Marketing Center of Excellence (COE) in New York with the appointments of Marc Mathieu as chief marketing officer and Jesse Coulter as chief creative officer. The COE currently occupies three floors of office space at Samsung’s new state-of-the-art flagship building located at 837 Washington Street, New York, and is scheduled for completion later this year.

As CMO, Mr. Mathieu will lead U.S.-based marketing across all lines of business including home entertainment, home appliances and telecommunications, says the company. Additionally, he will oversee the COE. Mr. Mathieu most recently served as the senior vice president of global marketing at Unilever and previously held the position of senior vice president of global brand marketing at Coca-Cola.

Reporting to Mr. Mathieu, Mr. Coulter will lead strategies and marketing campaigns across the North America product portfolio. He most recently held the position of co-chief creative officer for CAA Marketing at Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
