Salesforce introduces Einstein Copilot in public beta

Salesforce has launched Einstein Copilot, an AI assistant for customer relationship management (CRM) systems, now available in public beta. Einstein Copilot is designed to utilize a company’s own data to generate responses, aiming to simplify data governance and reduce the costs associated with AI model training, according to Salesforce.

Einstein Copilot offers a range of functions within Salesforce’s CRM applications, including responding to queries, summarizing and creating content, interpreting conversations, and automating tasks. This functionality is supported by a conversational user interface, a foundational large language model (LLM), and integration with company data.

Einstein Copilot includes features like using trusted business data for accurate responses, a set of predefined actions for automated tasks, and customization options for specific business and industry needs. Its reasoning engine is capable of processing user prompts to determine and execute the most suitable actions.

The service places a strong emphasis on secure and trustworthy AI interactions, incorporating privacy and security measures, such as masking personally identifiable information and ensuring data protection.

Einstein Copilot demonstrates potential benefits across various sectors, including speeding up sales, improving customer service, and optimizing financial services operations, as reflected in feedback from customers in different industries.

Einstein Copilot is part of Salesforce’s Einstein 1 Editions, which bundles various Salesforce technologies into one package for businesses. The AI assistant is currently in beta for Sales Cloud and Service Cloud globally, with plans to expand to Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud in 2024. It supports data residency in the United States and is available in English. An upcoming integration with Tableau is expected to enhance its AI capabilities further.

Customers can access Einstein Copilot by purchasing Einstein 1 Editions or by adding it on to Enterprise or Unlimited Editions.
