Russian Internet behemoth Mail.Ru Group Launches Services In US

Russian Internet behemoth Mail.Ru Group has unveiled its first U.S. initiative, a startup called My.com that provides a suite of communication and entertainment apps for mobile devices. My.com’s vision is to “build an integrated communication and entertainment platform, dubbed ‘communitainment’, says the company.

My.com launches with three products: myMail , myChat , and myGames. MyMail is a mobile email client that combines multiple email accounts, and available for iOS and Android devices. MyChat is a mobile messaging service for free text, voice and video messaging, also available for iOS and Android. MyGames, is a growing collection of free mobile games.

Dmitry Grishin (Co-founder and CEO, Mail.Ru Group): Russian developers tend to have outstanding backgrounds in mathematics, physics and engineering, which have propelled Russian companies to the forefront of the domestic Internet market. Now we will use all the skills and experience we’ve earned to enter the U.S. market. 

Mail.Ru Group currently has 3,000 employees and an audience of more than 100 million monthly users. My.com offices will be based in Mountain View, California.
