Rockwell Automation and Microsoft have announced the extension of their partnership to integrate Azure OpenAI Service into Rockwell’s FactoryTalk Design Studio. This collaboration aims to speed up the development of industrial automation systems.
The integration of Azure OpenAI Service is expected to automate routine tasks and improve design efficiency. The partnership is expected to help automate code generation through natural language prompts, simplifying the tasks for engineers and potentially speeding up project timelines.
The two companies are looking to extend the technology to other challenges such as Quality Management and Improvement and Failure Mode Analysis. Both Rockwell and Microsoft are also exploring potential advancements in the industrial metaverse, utilizing IoT capabilities, cloud datasets, simulations, and AI.
