Postman has acquired Akita Software, a firm specializing in system behavior monitoring and observation. Post-acquisition, the Akita team will join Postman. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2018, Akita Software had received backing from Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia Capital. The company’s technology enables automatic discovery and monitoring of APIs, without the need for specific frameworks or SDKs.
The first product integrating the capabilities of Postman and Akita is slated for a beta release in fall 2023.
