Pizza Hut launching chatbot ordering system for Facebook, Twitter

Pizza Hut is launching a Pizza Hut social ordering platform, or “chatbot,” to allow for conversational ordering of pizza on Facebook Messenger and Twitter. The chatbot is also expected to be able to answer frequently asked customer questions. The platform will be available across Pizza Hut social media accounts this fall.

The restaurant chain is using Conversable’s conversational commerce enterprise platform to create interactive, automated experiences on messaging and voice platforms.

Nearly 50 percent of the pizza restaurant company’s orders come through digital channels, including more than 60 percent of those orders via a mobile device.
