Piano raises $22 million

Content monetization and audience intelligence technology company Piano has raised a $22 million Series B funding round. The investment was led by Updata Partners.

In a statement, Piano said the funds will be used to grow company functions, particularly in R&D and client services. The company says it is also considering acquisitions.

Piano clients include Business Insider, Bloomberg, Oath, Gatehouse Media, The Economist, Hearst, Bonnier, Digiday, Postmedia Network, Condé Nast, Grupo Abril, Funke Mediengruppe, The Ladders, Stitcher, and over 1,300 other media brands, said the company in a statement.
