Photonic raises $100M

Vancouver, British Columbia-based quantum computing company Photonic has announced a $100 million funding round. The investment includes contributions from the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), Microsoft, the UK government’s National Security Strategic Investment Fund (NSSIF), Inovia, and Amadeus Capital Partners.

Photonic’s platform is centered on a silicon spin-photon interface, aiming to create a scalable and fault-tolerant quantum computer network. The company, with a workforce of over 120, has expanded its presence with offices in Canada, the UK, and the US. Photonic has raised $140 million to date.
