Parse has raised $5.5 million Series A funding from Ignition Partners. John Connors of Ignition Partners will also be joining the company’s board of directors. Connors is also a member of the board of directors of Nike, FiREapps, Scout Analytics, Datasphere, Korrio, Motif Investing, Splunk and Tier 3.
Parse provides server-side functionality to users in need for rich, Internet enabled applications. It is free during the private beta, and will cost nothing (if you are on the Starter plan) to $99 a month and upwards (for the Pro and Enterprise plans).
