Palantir Technologies has been selected by the U.S. Army’s Program Manager for Intelligence Systems and Analytics to deliver an intelligence data fabric and analytics foundation for the Capability Drop 2 (CD-2) program, the company said in a statement.
Palantir was selected to progress to the next phase of the Army’s competitive $823 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. The company will deploy its Gotham platform, as part of the contract.
The Gotham platform is an operating system for defense decision making, says Palantir. The Army Intelligence community will use this capability to modernize their data foundation by migrating legacy programs to CD-2. The Army will also use CD-2 to serve as an enabler for future modernization efforts supporting Joint All Domain Operations, says Palantir.
CD-2 is one of the efforts Palantir is working on with PEO IEW&S, alongside Capability Drop 1 (CD-1) and the Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) programs, the company said in a statement.
