Opera, a browser developer and internet consumer brand, has announced that its current commercial agreement with Google for search functionality has been extended. The original agreement, covering the period from 2022 to 2024, included an option for Google to extend the partnership through 2025 under the same terms. Google has now exercised this option, ensuring that the search agreement will continue until the end of 2025.
This extension follows a similar pattern to the previous search agreement between Opera and Google, which was in place from 2018 to 2020 and was subsequently extended through 2021.
Opera and Google have maintained search distribution agreements since 2001, highlighting the long-standing partnership between the two companies.
