Nvidia to acquire Run:ai

Nvidia announced an agreement to acquire Run:ai, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based provider of Kubernetes-based workload management and orchestration software. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Run:ai enables users to manage and optimize their compute infrastructure in various environments, using an open platform built on Kubernetes, the orchestration layer for AI and cloud infrastructure. The platform supports Kubernetes variants and integrates with third-party AI tools and frameworks.

Run:ai’s customers include enterprises across multiple industries that use the platform to manage GPU clusters. The platform provides AI developers and their teams with a centralized interface to manage shared compute infrastructure, functionality to manage users, teams, and resources, the ability to pool and share GPUs for separate tasks, and efficient GPU cluster resource utilization.

Run:ai’s solutions are already integrated with various Nvidia products. The company says it will continue to offer Run:ai’s products under the same business model for the immediate future and invest in the product roadmap, including enabling on DGX Cloud, an AI platform co-engineered with clouds for enterprise developers.
