NTT DATA, MapmyIndia working on 3D map datasets of India with building data

NTT DATA and MapmyIndia, a digital mapping, navigation and location technology company, have partnered to develop large-scale 3D map datasets of India, named AW3D India.

To develop AW3D India, NTT DATA’s 3D mapping algorithm will be combined with MapmyIndia’s mapping technology, say the companies. Initially, 3D building data is expected to be developed for tier-one cities.
