Npm appoints Bryan Bogensberger CEO

Open source JavaScript developer tools provider and software registry operator npm has appointed Bryan Bogensberger as CEO. Mr. Bogensberger will partner with npm founder Isaac Schlueter, who has a new role as chief product officer from July this year. Mr.  Schlueter was chief executive from 2014 to 2018.

Before npm, Mr. Bogensberger spent three years as CEO and co-founder of Inktank, a provider of scale-out, open source storage systems that was acquired by Red Hat in 2014. He also served as vice president of business strategy at DreamHost, vice president of marketing at Joyent, and CEO and co-founder of Reasonablysmart, which Joyent acquired in 2009.
