Nokia launches new platform for IoT services

Nokia has launched a new multi-tenant, multi-protocol, standards-based platform platform for IoT devices, called Intelligent Management Platform for All Connected Things or IMPACT. The platform can handle every aspect of machine-to-machine (M2M) connections, from data collection, event processing, device management, data contextualization, to analytics for any device, any protocol, and across any application.

Device management capabilities cover firmware and software updates, reset and reboot, configuration control commands, and device discovery. Deployment models include cloud/SaaS and on-premises.
Impact manages over 1.5 billion devices for 300+ service providers, says Nokia.
