Nikon Launches 24.1 MP D7100 DSLR Camera

Nikon has launched the Nikon D7100 digital SLR camera.

The D7100 features a new Nikon DX-format CMOS sensor, 24.1 effective megapixels, and an EXPEED 3 image-processing engine optimized for use without an optical low-pass filter.

The D7100 supports lenses with a maximum aperture of f/8 and offers a 51-point AF system. You can find a complete list of Nikon D7100 tech specs here.

The D7100 supports the WR-1, a transceiver that enables verification and adjustment of settings, as well as control over remote shooting. The WR-1 uses radio waves and supports 15 channels for communication over a maximum range of 120m between multiple WR-1s.

The D7100 body is retailing for $1200.
