NextBus Acquired For $20.6M

Cubic Transportation Systems, an integrator of payment and information technology and services for intelligent travel solutions, has acquired NextBus from Webtech Wireless.The size of the deal stands at roughly $20.6 million (CAD$20.75 million), subject to the terms of the purchase agreement.

NextBus is a provider of real-time passenger information systems (RTPIS) with more than 100 transit agency deployments in the United States and Canada.

NextBus is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that provides real-time arrival information about buses, subways and trains. The company also provides real-time management and dispatch tools for transit operators.
