NeXT Computers Co-Founder Joins Rambus As Fellow

Rich Page has joined Rambus Labs as a Fellow.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Page has been a key driver within the computer industry. His honors include being named as one of the first five Fellows at Apple Computer. During his tenure at Apple, he was one of the leading engineers behind both the hardware and software decisions of early MacIntosh systems. After Apple, Mr. Page was a co-founder of NeXT Computers, where he led the development of the Next Cube, NeXTstation, and Turbo NeXTstation products. After NeXT, he was president of Sierra Research and Technology, where he led state-of-the-art designs for the networking space, shipping 622-Mbps ATM, 10/100-Mbps Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet designs. Following Sierra Research, Mr. Page founded Next Sierra where he led development of driver electronics for OLED displays. Cambridge Display Technology acquired Next Sierra and Mr. Page continued his development work there through 2008. Since that time, Mr. Page has served as an independent consultant to a number of high-tech organizations.

Mr. Page holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics from San Jose State University.
