New IBM Training Program Cuts Employee Pay

IBM

IBM’s new training program proposes to train its employees, at a 10 per cent pay cut. A report by Patrick Thibodeau in Computerworld, cites an internal memo sent to IBM employees in the company’s Global Technology Services strategic outsourcing group. According to the memo, recipients identified as employees needing training will be focusing on learning and development from mid-October to the end of March, dedicating one day a week on training. The training accompanies a six month salary reduction, with normal pay resuming April next year.
