Motorola Launches The New Kevlar-proofed Droid Razr

By Lisa Carson

Kevlar-proofed? Yes. The Droid Razr is made with Kevlar fiber, the same thing your average body armour is made of (it is also fortified with Corning Gorilla glass, besides). The Droid Razr is also the world’s thinnest phone, measuring 7.1 mm in the thin-ness quotient. The iPhone 4S is 9.3 mm, incase you were wondering. These beauties also have a 4.3 inch display with more colors packed in than most LCD HDTVs.

If you are getting a Razr flashback here, you are not the only one with the deja vu on. Razr was actually among the most popular clamshell phones in the world, and launched around a decade ago or so from the Motorola stable. The ‘Droid’ Razr phones come from a different clone factory altogether.

The Droid Razr will be available in early November for $299.99 with a new two-year customer agreement from Verizon in the United States.
