Microsoft Launches Angel Fund, Incubator Program

[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

Microsoft has launched the Bing Fund, an angel fund with an incubator program, sponsored by Bing. Instead of following a class format, Microsoft says it will evaluate and accept candidates on an ongoing basis. The Redmond giant is inviting startups based in the U.S. to work with the company for at least four months.

Startups in the Bing Fund will receive subsidized usage of APIs from Bing’s data ecosystem and the opportunity to access certain technology assets developed by Microsoft Research. Bing Fund team members and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will be available for mentoring and guidance. And of course Microsoft will help with funding, by offering a convertible note and making introductions to strategic investors.

Participants in the Bing Fund who are local to the Seattle area can also use the Microsoft co-workspace in Bellevue.
