Microsoft acquires social learning platform Flipgrid

Microsoft has acquired social learning platform Flipgrid for an undisclosed sum. The platform that lets students create videos for learning, is going to be free for all educators after the acquisition. Additionally, Microsoft is providing a prorated refund to every educator who upgraded in the past year.

Flipgrid is used by millions of students, educators, and families in over 180 countries, according to the company.

Amazon to invest up to $4B in Anthropic

Amazon will invest up to $4 billion in Anthropic, and will acquire a minority ownership stake in the company. The two companies also announced a strategic agreement aimed at the development of generative artificial intelligence (AI) models.
