Meyer Werft awards CGI IT modernization contract

Shipbuilding company Meyer Werft has awarded CGI an IT modernization contract. In a statement, CGI said it will work closely with the company in Germany, Finland and around the world. The financial terms of the contract was not disclosed.

Dr. Paul Meyer, CIO of Meyer Werft, said in a statement, “CGI will support us technologically in building a modern infrastructure for our new systems, as well as ensuring the business continuity of our legacy systems, which to a large extent still run the business.”

Founded in 1795, Meyer Werft’s production program comprises large cruise vessels, passenger ferries and Ro-Pax ferries.
