Leidos has been awarded a prime contract to assist the National Security Agency (NSA) in prototype and technology development. The contract, a single-award, indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity agreement, is valued at $700 million.
Under this contract, Leidos will focus on identifying and developing emerging technologies, creating new tools and techniques, and supporting the NSA’s intelligence and cyber missions, the company said in a statement.
The scope of work for Leidos involves providing expertise in the development and maintenance of technology, tools, and techniques for the analyst community. This includes developing analytic techniques and prototypes, forecasting the use of emerging technology, and validating and evolving requirements to meet the dynamic needs of the NSA.
Leidos’s efforts will also concentrate on demonstrating critical features, qualifying products or processes, and characterizing performance or product features in the early stages of the conceptual and demonstration phase.
