Eastman Kodak has elected Douglas Edwards as a senior vice president of the company, effective immediately.
Mr. Edwards, 51, is President of the Digital Printing & Enterprise Group, a position to which he was named when Kodak realigned its management last month. His responsibilities include Packaging, Functional Printing, Electrophotographic Solutions, Inkjet Printing Solutions, Kodak Service Business, Consumer Inkjet Systems and Design 2 Launch. He reports to Kodak chairman and CEO Antonio M. Perez.
Prior to being named to his current post, Mr. Edwards was General Manager of the Pre-Press Solutions business. Mr. Edwards joined Kodak in 2005 when the company acquired full control of a former joint venture with Sun Chemical. Mr. Edwards managed R&D for the joint venture. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions in marketing, manufacturing and research for Zeneca Specialties and ICI Colors & Fine Chemicals. He started his career as a research chemist with the Ilford Ltd. unit of Ciba-Geigy.
Mr. Edwards has a Ph.D. in conducting organic materials from the University of London and a B.S. in chemistry from London University.
