IPass partners with BSNL in India

Redwood Shores, California-based wifi services company iPass has inked a partnership with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a telecom service provider in India.

The agreement is expected to provide iPass customers with access to 23,000 Wi-Fi hotspots in locations across India, including tourist and heritage sites, public places and in more rural areas, said the companies in a statement.

BSNL’s public wifi services were launched in February 2015.
