Intel Capital Invests $20 Million In Six Indian Companies

Intel Capital, Intel’s global investment organization, has announced plans to invest around $20 million in six Indian companies. These companies are Saankhya Labs, Testing Czars, Financial Inclusion Network and Operations (FINO), What’s on India, enStage, and Duron Energy. Funding for the investments announced by Intel Capital come from the $250 million Intel Capital India Technology Fund established in December 2005. Specifics of the investment, including the amounts separetely invested in the individual companies were not disclosed. The Intel Capital team in India is led by Sudheer Kappam, managing director of Intel Capital India, Japan, Australia and Southeast Asia. The team has six investmentment directors in the country.
