Intel announced the appointment of Stacy Smith to its board of directors. Mr. Smith, executive chairman of Kioxia and chair of Autodesk, joins Intel as an independent director and will be part of the Audit & Finance Committee, the company said in a statement.
Before retiring in 2018, Mr. Smith served as group president of manufacturing, operations, and sales at Intel, overseeing the global Technology and Manufacturing Group and managing the worldwide sales organization.
Since 2018, Mr. Smith has been the executive chairman of Kioxia and has chaired the board of Autodesk since 2011. His board memberships include Wolfspeed since 2023, and he previously held positions on the boards of Virgin America and Gevo.
Mr. Smith is an MBA graduate in finance from the University of Texas.
