Infosys and ATP collaborate to launch carbon tracker for greener tennis

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the main governing body of men’s professional tennis,  is partnering with Infosys to debut a digital carbon tracker to promote environmental responsibility within the sport. The tracker is expected to enable tennis players to monitor and balance their carbon emissions caused by traveling for global tournaments.

The carbon tacker is integrated within the ATP PlayerZone app, and will present players with a view of their travel-related emissions over multiple seasons. The tracker will also feature a ‘Green Badge’, a digital symbol of a player’s commitment to reducing carbon footprint, which can be earned at the end of each season and displayed on player profiles and ranking pages on the ATPTour.com.

Accessible via the ATP PlayerZone website and mobile app, the tracker will allow players to input their travel data, detail the transport mode used for each tournament, and compute the associated emissions footprint.
