Inflection AI raises $1.3B

Inflection AI has raised $1.3 billion from Microsoft, Reid Hoffman, Bill Gates, Eric Schmidt, and new investor Nvidia.

The funds will be used for the ongoing development of Inflection’s first product, Pi, launched in May. Pi is intended to be a friendly and supportive digital assistant, offering users text and voice conversations, advice, and information.

Inflection AI is working alongside CoreWeave and Nvidia to construct what the company says will be the largest AI cluster worldwide, utilizing 22,000 Nvidia H100 Tensor Core GPUs.

Earlier in 2022, Inflection AI raised $225 million in initial funding from various investors, including Greylock Partners, Microsoft, Reid Hoffman, Bill Gates, Eric Schmidt, Mike Schroepfer, Demis Hassabis, Will.i.am, Horizons Ventures, and Dragoneer. The company has raised $1.525 billion to date.

Inflection AI is a public benefit corporation founded by Karén Simonyan, Reid Hoffman, and Mustafa Suleyman.
