Indonesia’s Telkomsel Partners With Skype

Telkomsel, the world’s 7th largest mobile is announcing a partnership with Skype in Indonesia. This partnership will bring Skype software beyond computers to a range of mobile handsets starting with a series of Symbian, Android and Blackberry smartphones, so consumers can take their Skype conversations with them on the go. At launch, Skype will be made available initially on a range of 24 Telkomsel smartphones including Samsung, Blackberry, Nokia and LG handsets, with plans to extend support to a broader base of phones (including J2ME-enabled ones) in future.
