Imoji Secures $2 Million Venture Financing

Imoji, makers of an app that enables users to turn pictures into emoji and stickers, have secured a $2 million round of investment. The financing was led by Goodwater Capital and Joe Lacob. Goodwater’s Eric Kim, and Joe Lacob, partner emeritus at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, will be joining the imoji board.

Since its launch a month ago, imoji users have created over 1.5 million imojis, and millions have been shared in conversations over iMessage and various social networks, says the company.
