IBM Laid Off 3000 Employees Last Week, Says Worker’s Alliance

This past week almost 3,000 US and Canada IBM employees were laid off, in a round of job cuts, says Alliance@IBM, the IBM Employee’s Union.

IBM’s Systems and Technology Group, and its software operations reportedly suffered the maximum casualties.

IBM employes 434,246 employees worldwide, according to the corporate website.
