IBM, KPMG expand partnership to Implement SAP for Energy and Utilities

IBM and KPMG have inked an expansion of their existing alliance to support business transformations in the Energy and Utilities industry through SAP S/4HANA implementations.

IBM Consulting and KPMG are combining their expertise in consulting, operations, tax, risk, and finance to assist companies in the energy and utilities sector. The objective is to automate and manage core business processes for improved performance, say the companies. The two firms are offering a range of skills, from technology implementation to regulatory and financial considerations, aiming to improve the outcomes of ERP projects.

KPMG and IBM have previously collaborated on a transformation program for Liberty Utilities, a utility management and service provider in the United States and Canada. The program focused on various operational aspects, including customer service, finance, asset management, and supply chain operations.
