[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

IBM has signed a 10-year strategic agreement with Cemex to deliver business process and information technology services to the company. Additionally, IBM will provide to Cemex business consultant services using the entire breadth of IBM’s capabilities, including R&D expertise. The services contract is worth just over $1 billion, and will include finance and accounting, and human resource back-office services, as well as IT infrastructure, application development and maintenance services.

The agreement is expected to generate Cemex savings of close to $1 billion during the life of the contract, says IBM.

Cemex is a building materials company with footprints in more than 50 countries throughout the world.
