IBM to buy Israeli application discovery company EZSource

IBM has completed the acquisition of EZSource, an application discovery company, to help developers modify mainframe applications. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The integration of EZSource’s technology into IBM’s z Systems portfolio is expected to help customers discover new ways to take advantage of the mainframe, according to IBM.

“The IBM mainframe is a foundational technology for digital transformation. Today’s developers can drown in the sea of complex application code,” said Ross Mauri, general manager, IBM z Systems. “EZSource’s application discovery technology makes it fast and easy for developers to understand and extend those applications at the speed of business.”
