Hojoki Gets Seed Funding, Set To Launch Public Beta

Cloud app aggregator Hojoki has received a six-digit number in seed capital, from Kizoo Technology Ventures. The exact amount of financing was not divulged, but is reportedly in the region of $620,000. The company is set to launch its public beta on the first week of December. During the Public Beta, Hojoki will be free for all. After the end of the Beta, there will be a free plan, as well as premium accounts for individuals and teams.

Hojoki provides an unified inbox to cloud apps like Google Docs, Dropbox, and Highrise, among others. The Hojoki team spent one year in development and six months in private alpha testing the app.

According to Martin Böhringer, , Hojoki, the market for productivity cloud apps is rapidly rising, with apps like Dropbox and Google Docs having user numbers into the eight figures. As these numbers increase,  Böhringer  says there will be a clear need for integration. Hojoki achieves this by looking for activities in connected apps and building a Facebook-like activity stream. It supports individuals in-tracking their apps and provides a place for team collaboration in projects, with support for microblogging and comments.

Hojoki was founded in Chemnitz/Germany  on March 2011.
