[Techtaffy Newsdesk]

Google announced the latest version of its Android mobile operating system,  the Android 4.1 or Jelly Bean, at the company’s annual worldwide developer conference Google IO. Improvements to this edition of the Android OS include a smoother and more responsive UI across the system, a home screen that automatically adapts to fit content, a predictive keyboard, richer and more interactive notifications, and larger payload sizes for Android Beam (NFC) sharing, among other things.

Android has crossed 400 million activations. About a million new Android devices are activated each day, says Google.
