GitLab raises $20 million

GitLab, the company behind the self-hosted Git repository management tool, has raised $20 million in a series C funding round. The investment was led by GV, at more than double the valuation of last year’s B round. In another development, Matt Mullenweg, founder of WordPress, has joined the GitLab board.

GitLab customers include Ticketmaster, ING, NASDAQ, Alibaba, Sony, VMWare, and Intel, according to the company.

GitLab has raised roughly $45 million to date.
