Gilbert Amelio To Retire From AT&T Board

Dr. Gilbert Amelio has decided to retire from AT&T’s board to devote time to professional and personal activities, said the company.

Dr. Amelio, 70, has been an AT&T Director since 2001 and had previously served as an advisory director of AT&T from 1997 to 2001. He was a director of Pacific Telesis Group from 1995 until 1997 when the company was acquired by AT&T (then known as SBC Communications).
