Getting Arrested? Here Is The App For That

By Sudarshana Banerjee

Inspired by a real Occupy Wall Street incident, Quadrant 2, a company started in 1996 by Jason Van Anden, a ‘creative technologist’ from the greater New York City area, has designed the free I’m Getting Arrested app for the Android marketplace. The app enables user to broadcast a custom SMS message to numbers with one click, presumably while she is getting arrested. Of course, you can use the app to send a group message to anybody, even if you are not exactly occupying Wall Street or are in the middle of getting actually arrested.

Last time we checked, I’m Getting Arrested has an average rating of 4.6 from 35 users, and has been downloaded over a 1,000 times.

We read about the app in Guy Kawasaki’s Facebook update. Thank you, Guy!
