GE Digital signs electric grid modernization collaboration agreement with AWS

GE Digital has signed a multi-year strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for grid modernization.

Under the collaboration, GE Digital will provide a new grid operating software platform, GridOS, and cloud-enabled solutions. In a statement, the companies said they plan to help electric utilities adopt hybrid cloud technologies and deploy solutions on the GridOS as well. GE Digital and AWS will also help streamline the migration of on-premises solutions to the cloud.

GE Digital and AWS will execute integrated go-to-market activities, launch solutions in AWS Marketplace, and help train developers as part of the collaboration.
