Fujitsu, Jardogs Collaborate On Remote Patient Monitoring

Fujitsu Laboratories of America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Laboratories, announced the results of a joint development collaboration with Jardogs, a subsidiary of Springfield Clinic focused on developing healthcare solutions, around remote patient monitoring and reporting. As part of the collaboration, Fujitsu’s remote sensing platform technology has been integrated with Jardogs’ FollowMyHealth Universal Health Record (UHR).

Fujitsu Laboratories built a pocket-sized prototype platform of hardware and software that can collect sensor data over multiple wireless and wired channels, process it locally, and display the raw or analyzed data via an onboard web server. The data, which is de-identified prior to transmission to preserve the patient’s privacy, is simultaneously transmitted in real time to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant FollowMyHealth Universal Health Record account and is visible to both the patient and respective care providers. The integrated prototype is currently entering trials.
