Former Symantec CEO Joins FireEye Board

Enrique T. Salem, former president and chief executive officer of Symantec, has been appointed to the FireEye board of directors. This brings the number of FireEye board members to eight.

In addition to serving as president and CEO, during his tenure at Symantec, Mr. Salem also served as chief operating officer, group president of worldwide sales and marketing, and president of consumer products, among other senior leadership roles with the company.

Mr. Salem served as president and CEO of Brightmail prior to its acquisition by Symantec. In March 2011, he was appointed to President Barack Obama’s management advisory board.
