Fastdata.io raises $5 million seed round

Fastdata.io, a real-time stream processing company, has raised a $5 million seed round. The investment was co-led by CrossCut Ventures and Pelion Venture Partners, with participation from existing investor Nvidia.

Ben Lambert of Pelion Venture Partners and Brian Garrett of CrossCut will join Fastdata.io’s board, along with cybersecurity expert and retired four-star Admiral, William Fallon.

Fastdata.io has developed a high-performance computing software engine, to exploit the parallel processing capabilities of Nvidia’s GPU platform. The company was founded in 2016, by Alen Capalik. Fastdata.io is headquartered in Santa Monica, California with offices in Seattle, Washington.
