Facebook-Funded Kontagent Closes $12 Million Financing

Kontagent has closed $12 million in Series B financing. The investment was led by Battery Ventures, with continued participation from Maverick Capital and Altos Ventures. Roger Lee, General Partner at Battery Ventures, will join Kontagent’s board of directors. Kontagent will use the capital for R&D and will also invest in building additional products and features.

Kontagent is the an enterprise user analytics platform for application developers, marketers and product managers across the social and mobile Web. The company says it tracks over 1,000 social applications, 150+ million monthly active users, and in excess of 15,000 messages every second. Kontagent is funded by ALTOS Ventures and Maverick Capital, with additional funding from Facebook and other angel investors.
