Facebook Code Glitch Reveals Photos Of Users, Zuckerberg Included

By Sudarshana Banerjee

Facebook is on the news again, and for the wrong reasons. Again. A code glitch revealed private photos of users (the ones they chose not to share with everybody and make public.) As luck would have it, one of the users whose photos were revealed happened to be Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg himself. The software glitch was the result of some recent code changes and Facebook says it has fixed the problem.

The social network or ‘social utility’ company as it calls itself now, just settled a spat with FCC on privacy, but privacy concerns are just not going away. A few days ago Facebook was hacked and flooded with graphic images which the company hastily removed. Rather uncomfortable for a company that is going to have a $100 billion price tag. Rather uncomfortable for users as well, to know that pictures they had believed were private, can pop up on some random person’s screen all the same.
